NELLIS AIR FORCE BASE, Nev. --

“We, as a Reserve family, need to watch out for each other,” said Lt. Gen. Richard Scobee, commander of the Air Force Reserve Command, recently in a note to Reserve Citizen Airmen.

With the hustle and bustle of the holiday season in full swing it’s easy to forget about our Reserve family we may not see every day.

For Eileen Collins and Staff Sgt. Julie Camacho, 926th Wing Airman and Family Readiness, sending a care package is one way they can show they care.

“Our mission at Airman and Family Readiness is to boost the morale of our members, not just the ones we see every day, but also our deployed family,” said Collins. “These boxes are one way to remind our deployers we are thinking about them.”

Collins and Camacho packed and shipped holiday care packages for deployed members of the 926th Wing in December. Donations for the care packages came from various members and organizations from the local community.
