Another milestone for the 706th Fighter Squadron Detachment 1 met
Tech. Sgt. Matt Pichelmayer (right) was reenlisted into the U.S. Air Force Reserve by Lt. Col. Patrick Ryan, 706th Fighter Squadron Detachment 1 commander, during the detachment's Unit Training Assembly on Dec. 9. at Hurlburt Field, Fla. Sergeant Pichelmayer joined the detachment as a network technician, and will be integrated into the 505th Communications Squadron, a regular Air Force unit at Hurlburt Field. Through Total Force Integration, reservists from the 706th FS Det. 1 are integrated into RegAF units, working side by side their RegAF counterparts on a regular basis to get the mission done. Sergeant Pichelmayer is the detachment's first enlisted member to be integrated into the 505th Command and Control Wing. The 706th FS Det. 1 is one of three geographically-separated units under the 926th Group at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev. The 926th GP supports the United States Air Force Warfare Center’s mission of ensuring deployed forces are well-trained and well-equipped to conduct integrated combat operations by certifying equipment, developing tactics, and providing premiere education and exercise venues.
