Maj. Kenneth Rose was recently awarded Field Grade Officer of the Year for the 926th Group. Major Rose is the director of the COMBAT SHIELD Electronic Warfare Assessment Program, 84th Test and Evaluation Squadron, Eglin Air Force Base, Fla. As COMBAT SHIELD director, Major Rose oversees EW assessments of more than 50 wings and 2,000 aircraft EW systems. His recommendations to wing commanders and Air Combat Command led to improved EW maintenance procedures, equipment upgrades, and warfighter survivability. Additionally, he is an instructor navigator with 2,500 hours in the AC- and MC-130 aircraft. Major Rose is a native of Okaloosa County.
