Col. Brunke (left), 926th Group commander, presents a certificate to then-Senior Master Sgt. Jones prior to tacking on his chief master sergeant stripes Oct. 2 in the 926th GP conference room. Chief Jones is the 926th GP's newest senior non-commissioned officer to join the top one percent of the enlisted force promoted to the rank of chief. As the group superintendent, he advises the commander on matters influencing the health, morale, welfare and effective utilization of more than 506 active Reserve members.
