First Sergeant Selection Board packages extended until Sep. 15

The 926th Group is scheduled to conduct a First Sergeant Selection Board on Oct. 2, 2009. 

Highly motivated professionals in the grade of senior master sergeant, master sergeant and technical sergeant (eligible for immediate promotion to master sergeant) are eligible to apply.

Applicants must submit a one-page resume and letter of recommendation from their First Sergeant. Packages are due to 926 MSS/DPMSA, attention Master Sgt. Brian Marr, no later than Sep. 15, 2009.

In addition, applicants are required to have a passing score on the Air Force Fit test, and should be familiar with the Roles and Responsibilities of the First Sergeant (AFI36-2113).

When meeting the board, applicants are required to wear long or short-sleeved blues shirt with tie and all authorized ribbons/badges (log onto vMPF to check individual authorized ribbons).

Applicants selected for the position will be required to attend the First Sergeants Academy within 12 months of being assigned as a First Sergeant. Selectees will be notified by letter of their scheduled board time.
