Tech. Sgt. Amy Bailey, of the 926th Mission Support Squadron, spoke to a large crowd of Reserve and Regular Air Force co-workers who joined in to help celebrate her early promotion.

"I'm so excited to have earned the promotion this way," Sergeant Bailey said. "It's such a good feeling to know my package was strong enough to compete. Thank you to my supervisor, commander and all the people I've worked with in my career for coming out and making this day special."

Through Total Force Integration, Sergeant Bailey is a reservist who works full time with the 99th Logistics Readiness Squadron Nellis Support Center. As non-commissioned officer in charge of knowledge operations, she's responsible for client support administrator functions and lodging accommodations for Red Flag and Green Flag exercises, among other duties.

"Since Amy has come on board our flow of information has increased tenfold," Capt. Abraham Gunn, NSC director of operations, said. "She's our backbone; she enables us to concentrate on getting the mission done. And she's delightful to have around, just a pleasant person."

Sergeant Bailey was the only applicant out of 11 nominated in 10th Air Force to receive the early promotion. Her dedication to the mission secured this recognition as she has been lauded for impeccable customer service for more than 400 personnel. Additionally, she was responsible for doubling computer accessibility at the NSC that saved $750,000, reducing network threats by 30 percent, and ensuring 100 percent compliance for several unit programs. Sergeant Bailey was also recognized as NCO of the Month for the 99th LRS.

"The Promotion Enhancement Program is a testament to a person's ability throughout their career," Major Amy Boehle, 926th MSS commander, said. "Amy has proven herself to be the best of the best. She is such an asset to the Air Force and we are so happy to have her in our unit."

In her spare time, Sergeant Bailey is working toward a Community College of the Air Force degree in Information Management and volunteers at the Nellis Youth Center and off-base charities.
