78th Reconnaissance Squadron gains new commander Published Nov. 6, 2009 926th Group public affairs CREECH AIR FORCE BASE, Nev. -- Lt. Col. John Myers (right), receives the guideon from Col. Herman Brunke, 926th Group commander, as he assumes command of the 78th Reconnaissance Squadron during a change of command ceremony here Nov 2. As commander, Colonel Myers oversees Air Force Reserve Command members integrated into the 432nd Wing/432nd Air Expeditionary Wing at Creech. Members of the 78th RS are combat-ready citizen Airmen charged with training and equipping the Combat Air Forces to conduct Integrated and Expeditionary Combat Operations, as well as training operations, in the MQ-1 Predator and MQ-9 Reaper weapons systems. The squadron consists of Unmanned Aircraft Systems pilots, sensor operators and intelligence personnel tasked to increase the skill level and enhance mission effectiveness of the regular Air Force units within the 432nd WG/432nd AEW.
