Members of the 926th Group, I have now had the privilege of being your commander for one year! You are all truly amazing, both as Airmen and private citizens, and I could not be prouder of you and our group. Please read the accompanying message from our Secretary of the Air Force, Chief of Staff and Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force. These senior leaders ask each of you to take specific considerations and action in four known threat areas.

We must be proactive in these areas; the belief or assumption that, "it won't happen to me" or, "things like this only happen to the other guy" is a trap baited by complacency. All of our choices, whether to act or stand aside, have consequences; by choosing to: 1. Reject Reckless Behavior. 2. Use the Right Equipment. 3. Engage in Risk Management. 4. Act, Care, Escort; we continue to show our commitment to our family, our fellow Airmen and our country.

As I said last year, you are trusted, I have ultimate faith in your skills, capability and judgment. Please continue to exercise them by being safe and remaining alert to potential dangers. The chief says it best," You are the vital ingredient of our combat capability." Have a wonderful summer and thank you in advance for your time and efforts.
