A Reservist integrated into the 57th Adversary Tactics Support Squadron here was recently recognized for her outstanding performance at the command level.

Tech. Sgt. Heather Devine, 57th ATSS flight chief, is Air Force Reserve Command's Aircrew Flight Equipment Noncommissioned Officer of 2010. Sergeant Devine falls under the Reserve's 706th Fighter Squadron here, but works full time in the 57th ATSS to provide additional manpower and expertise to the active duty unit.

"Sergeant Devine is a consummate Aircrew Flight Equipment expert, an inspiring NCO and a linchpin to successful Total Force Integration efforts at Nellis," said Maj. Shawn Kellett, 706th Fighter Squadron director of operations.

"It's a testament to her dedication, professionalism and unparalleled work ethic that she was chosen as the flight chief for an active-duty squadron, as her immense talents have been recognized throughout the active duty and Reserve alike."

Sergeant Devine has continually proven her proficiency, securing the 926th Group's Noncommissioned Officer of 2010 earlier this year. "She is truly deserving of these awards and will continue to do great things for both the Air Force Reserve and active duty," Major Kellett said.

As flight chief, she's responsible for aircrew flight equipment for the F-15 and F-16 Aggressor pilots. This entails maintaining equipment for the active duty, Guard and Reserve, to include helmets, harnesses, g-suits, night vision goggles, survival kits, parachutes and life-preserver units.

Sergeant Devine served 10 years on active duty before joining the 926th GP in 2009.
