Antiterrorism officer recognized by AFRC leadership

NELLIS AIR FORCE BASE, Nev. -- A 926th Group member was recently named Air Force Reserve Command's Security Forces Staff Noncommissioned Officer of 2010.

Tech. Sgt. Dwayne Jackson, antiterrorism officer and security manager, was presented with the award by Col. Mary Roehl, AFRC's Top Cop, and Chief Master Sergeant Suzanne Clemons, AFRC's chief of training and combat arms here April 1.

"We're extremely proud of Sergeant Jackson's accomplishment," said Maj. Alexis Kellett, 926th Force Support Squadron commander. "The fact that AFRC leadership came to personally present this award is a testament to its significance. Sergeant Jackson is highly deserving of this recognition, as his dedication to the group's antiterrorism and security programs, as well as his outstanding performance in his multitude of additional duties, has been second to none."

In his role, Sergeant Jackson plans, organizes and directs all group security management activities for nine squadrons and more than 550 positions. Additionally, he directs the training of unit security managers, performs internal inspections and ensures policy compliance. Sergeant Jackson regularly interacts with the active-duty's antiterrorism office, integrating AFRC initiatives to support Nellis' Threat Working Group.

"I was humbled when I was told I was being nominated for this award," Sergeant Jackson said. "And I was very honored when I was told I won. I am proud that I am a member of the 926th Group and that I was able to represent the men and women of this organization."
