926th Group members recognized for outstanding achievements Published March 14, 2012 926th Group public affairs NELLIS AIR FORCE BASE, Nev. -- Congratulations to the 926th Group's recent award recipients: Tech. Sgt. Chad Watson, 926th Force Support Squadron cyber systems operator, was named Air Force Reserve Command's Outstanding Knowledge Operations Management Noncommissioned Officer of the Year. Watson was recognized for correcting 60 software errors as a front line troubleshooter for active-duty customers, rebuilding eight computers for the group's medical facility in two days, and refurbishing computer storage racks saving more than $1,000 in equipment costs. Additionally, Watson trained 2,000 active-duty personnel on a benchmark evaluation management system. Master Sgt. Simone Browne, 926th Force Support Squadron cyber systems operator, was named Air Force Reserve Command's Outstanding Cyberspace Operations Senior Noncommissioned Officer of the Year. Browne was recognized for developing base-wide dual common access card procedures, and directing the group's Operational Readiness Inspection preparation team that inspected 130 workstations. Additionally, Browne volunteers for Clark County's Department of Family Services as a Court Appointed Child Advocate in her free time. Maj. Andrew Faulkner, 84th Test and Evaluation Squadron, was selected as one of Air Force Reserve Command's 2011 Anthony C. Shine award nominees. The award was established by Mrs. Shine in honor of her husband who was killed in action while flying a combat mission in Southeast Asia. It is given out annually to recognize outstanding fighter pilots in the rank of major or below for their proficiency and professionalism. All three members will go on to compete in their respective categories at the Air Force level.
