NELLIS AIR FORCE BASE, Nev. --
Members of the 926th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron won the 57th Maintenance Group's Quarterly Load Crew Competition here April 6. Weapons loaders Tech. Sgt. Colin Cave, Tech Sgt. Sean Minnick and Tech. Sgt. Michael Perera formed a Reserve team, demonstrating their expertise on an F-16 Aggressor aircraft. In total, 21 Airmen are selected each quarter to participate in the competition designed to keep maintainers' skills sharp and recognize superior performers. The teams compete in three other areas--dress and appearance, composite took kit, and a written test--before they conduct the load portion. During the loading, the Airmen are evaluated on their use of the checklist, safety and overall speed. The 926th AMXS also secured "best load" with zero discrepancies.
