926th Flight Surgeon retires after 24 years
Lt. Col. Brett Brimhall, a 926th Aerospace Medicine Squadron flight surgeon and chief of medical staff, retires in a ceremony on Nellis Air Force Base, Nev., April 7, 2019 after 24 years of military service. Brimhall began his military career when accepted to the Uniformed Services University of the Health Science, F. Edward Heber School of Medicine. Five years later, he became a flight surgeon. Brimhall was named as the national first-place winner of the American College of Eye Surgeons cataract surgery competition for residents during his last year of eye surgery training. He served as an ophthalmologist both stateside and deployed before joining the Air Force Reserve in 2010.
