Col. Ross Anderson, 926th Wing commander, presented multiple awards to winners of the air pistol and rifle shooting portion of the 2017 Air Force Warrior Game Trials March 1 at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev. These trials are part of an adaptive sports program, headed by the Air Force Wounded Warrior Program, designed to promote the mental and physical well-being of seriously wounded, ill and injured military members and veterans. The trials took place from Feb. 24 to March 3 and also included archery, cycling, rowing, sitting volleyball, swimming, track and field, and wheelchair basketball events. Victors of events at the trials will take the next step in representing the Air Force at the Warrior Games this June in Chicago, Illinois.
