Colonel Jason S. Reiss

Col. Jason S. Reiss is the Commander of the 926th Wing, Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada. The wing is tasked to conduct 24/7 combat operations for multiple combatant commands. It also supports both classic and active Total Force Integration constructs in Air Combat Command, the United States Air Force Warfare Center, and Air Education Training Command. Over 1,200 926th Airmen execute a diverse mission portfolio including 4th, 5th generation test, tactics, training, MQ-9 combat and training, cyber, aircraft maintenance, mission support, and medical operations from Nellis and four geographically separated units.

Col. Reiss is a 1998 graduate of the United States Military Academy. He entered the Air Force in May 1998 after receiving an inter-service transfer and completed Undergraduate Pilot Training in 1999.

Colonel Reiss has commanded at both the squadron and group level. He is a USAF Weapons School graduate and command pilot with over 3700 hours in the F-35 and F-15E. Colonel Reiss has a distinguished combat record in several operations including Operations SOUTHERN WATCH, ENDURING FREEDOM, IRAQI FREEDOM, and INHERENT RESOLVE. He was the Chief of Future Operations, Joint Enabling Capabilities Command, Norfolk Naval Air Station, VA prior to taking command of the 926th Wing.
