CMSgt Alphonzo Glover is the Command Chief Master Sergeant at the 926th Wing, Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada. In this position, he advises the commander on effective management and utilization of over 1,400 airmen in multiple mission sets including nine mission design series aircraft and test and evaluation squadrons, spanning six bases across five states. He also advises the commander on all personnel matters including health, welfare, morale, professional development, readiness and discipline.
Chief Glover enlisted in the Air Force in April 2000 and graduated from the C-135 Aerospace Maintenance Apprentice Training course in August 2000. In his 25 years, he has been stationed in Texas, Idaho and Oklahoma and served in a variety of management and leadership positions. He has also deployed in direct support of Operations NORTHERN WATCH, NOBLE EAGLE, ENDURING FREEDOM, IRAQI FREEDOM, NEW DAWN, INHERENT RESOLVE and FREEDOM’S SENTINEL.
Additionally, Chief Glover serves as a Chief Orientation Course facilitator for Air Force Reserve Command’s Professional Development Center. In this capacity, he participates in the senior leadership development of dozens of newly selected reserve chief master sergeants. Prior to his current duty position, the chief was the Senior Enlisted Leader, 513th Air Control Group, Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma.
